...And It's Not Even My Birthday.

So I wake up in the dark, and he tells me that he's prepared my favorite breakfast. He had covered his bedroom window so I would keep sleeping (I hibernate when it's dark). I got up and we watched Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows 1 while we ate breakfast...THEN, he brought me a mini strawberry shortcake, JUST the way my mom used to make it! After we had breakfast, we went outside to take a ride, and my car had brand new tints, it was detailed, he put in the pretty floor mats that I've been eyeballing for a month now, AND he installed a little dancing hula girl! It's not even my birthday yet, but my babe pimped my ride!

A Walk In The Dark.

We prefer to get dressed up before taking our nightly walks.
Especially when sugar wants to make me feel better!

Pablo made this for me, since I swung by the Quick Stop in Leonardo, NJ where Clerks was filmed on my way far out of my way to Brooklyn. Notice the Clerks 2 poster.

I had a really awesome trip to NJ/NY with my family for my grandmother's services. My family is from NYC, Long Island, and all over Bergen County, NJ so it was nice to be back with everyone during a time like this. Last time I tried to go, I got caught in a stupid blizzard in Connecticut. This trip, we got to eat at The Fireplace(a diner my mom worked at as a teen), and visit the house that my grandfather built for my grandmother in the 1940's. I think it's cute that my aunt and uncle want to buy it back!

It's funny, I'm the only one in my family that was born in Miami, yet NYC always feels like home to me. I always feel closer to my mom when I'm there.
