June 21

We're closing on June 21! AAAHHH! The house is ours, and I can't wait to play with that little atrium! Luna and Louis are going to be so happy living together. She needs a buddy, it's been so long since she had a friend to live with. We're getting Louis a gigantic Rabbitat, so he can have a little bunny haven! We're so excited and the house is perfect for us! It's funny how life seems to work itself out. Just when you think things couldn't possibly SUCK any worse, along comes the best dude that ever lived, the perfect home, and a bright future. Side note: This atrium reminds me of that Bobcat Goldthwait movie, "Hot to Trot." LIFE IS GOOD.

Corky Thatcher.

Paul McCartney wrote this song around the time that highlife and reggae were beginning to become popular in Britain. The starting lyric: "Desmond has a barrow in the market-place," was a reference to the first internationally renown Jamaican ska and reggae performer Desmond Dekker who had just had a successful tour of the UK. The tag line "ob-la-di, ob-la-da, life goes on, bra" was an expression used by Nigerian conga player Jimmy Scott-Emuakpor, an acquaintance of McCartney.
